BNP Paribas renews its sponsorship deal with the Bulgarian Tennis Federation

BNP Paribas, reputedly the tennis world's leading sponsor, has renewed its strategic alliance with the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, in a country where the group has a significant presence.

This will be the third consecutive year that BNP Paribas has sponsored the Federation, with support for the development of tennis in Bulgaria being targeted on several levels: professional, social and educational.

Through its support of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, BNP Paribas is actively involved in promoting tennis and encouraging people from all walks of life to participate in the sport.

Several tournaments will be named the BNP Paribas Cup, including a national championship for veterans in August, a disabled tennis tournament in September and a national championship for men and women in October.

Training

With the support of charities and social projects related to tennis, says the group, it is reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility, which forms an integral part of its banking business.

BNP Paribas and the Bulgarian Tennis Federation will continue to support orphans and poor children with disabilities through "Tennis for Everyone", a programme which aims to offer disadvantaged children and those with disabilities regular tennis lessons. Training will be conducted three times per month in four cities (Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Mezdra).

Since 1973 the group has assisted many of the biggest competitions in the world of tennis, including Roland Garros, the Davis Cup, Fed Cup BNP Paribas, the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, International NNT d'Italia in Rome and the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour.

Thus the bank benefits from excellent media coverage and is also able to offer its customers worldwide a chance to see many unique sporting events.

Barcelona stars appear in sponsor Turkish Airlines' TV commercial

Barcelona's players, including Messi, Ibrahimovic, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Victor Valdez, Piege have taken part in a TV commercial for Turkish Airlines, the official sponsor of the team.

On the way toward becoming a global brand, say the airline, and now one of the fastest growing carriers in the world, they have achieved worldwide success with their sponsorship deals.

The commercial was first aired during the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona and it is set to hit next week's global TV networks.

Composed

Marco Grandia directed the TV commercial with the motto "We are Turkish Airlines, We are Globally Yours", with Gabor Deak as director of photography.

Music for the ad. was composed by Nil Karaibrahimgil, with Sertab Erener singing.

The commercial was shot in Istanbul and Barcelona with a crew of nearly 286 people, to be shown in seventy countries. The advertisement, which will premier in Turkey, will be aired on many domestic and international channels such as CNN International, Euronews, Al Jazeira, CNBC and Eurosport.

Betclick becomes the first official Juventus jersey sponsor in new 16 million euros deal

Juventus Football Club S.p.A. has decided, as part of a new commercial strategy and with the objective of increasing revenues from jersey sponsorship, to adopt a new format granting two different partners the right to brand, respectively, their black-and-white and their second shirt.

Consequently the two partners will have visibility both in national and international competitions

In line with the new strategy, Juventus have signed an agreement with Betclick UK Ltd., pursuant to which it will become the Juventus "Official Sponsor", with the "Betclic" brand, as of 1st July, 2010 until 30th June, 2012.

Betclick will have the right to brand the Juventus black-and-white first jersey in all national and international competitions played by its First Team.

The club will receive an overall base consideration of 16 million euros, together with a variable amount linked to sports results in national and international competitions.

Juventus Chairman Jean-Claude Blanc declared: "In a very difficult economic context we have individuated an international partner of high standing in order to enact an innovative commercial strategy by splitting rights between first and second jersey. The agreement signed today is the first of two 'official sponsorship' contracts for the next two football seasons".
