Zain to sponsor inaugural Mandela Day celebration in New York

Zain, the mobile telecommunications company that operates in Africa and the Middle East, has announced that it will sponsor the first Mandela Day concert, to be held at New York's Radio City Music Hall this Wednesday, July 18th, 2009, Nelson Mandela's 91st birthday, to raise funds for his foundations.

The concert, which will feature some of the world's most famous musicians, is being staged by 46664 - a campaign named after Mandela's Robben Island prison number which champions his humanitarian work - with the support of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
