Poker Icons new office in South America opens up opportunities for sponsors

Fabri Carbajo (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Poker Icons, the world’s leading poker agency, have joined forces to help develop opportunities for players and sponsors in the rapidly-developing South American market.

Both Carbajo and Poker Icons believe the South American market offers enormous potential, having achieved "extraordinary growth" in the last twelve months, both online and live.

Carbajo began his career in the business world as product manager for one of the region’s most important electronic goods companies. A few years ago he moved into the world of entertainment, working for an internal auditor for the most important TV production company in the region. At the same time, he also started developing an interest in the poker industry.

As the popularity of Texas Hold’em began to spread in South America, Fabri started working for Poker Heaven - one of Europe’s most popular poker rooms. He now works as Card Player and the Poker Channel’s strategic partner for the whole region.

Publicity

Fabri said: "I am thrilled at this new opportunity to work as the Poker Icons poker agent in this part of the world. Without doubt, the South American market is going to offer enormous potential over the next ten years. Poker Icons will be able to provide the best possible support to top poker players in the region. There is also great potential for sponsors here to achieve a very good return on their investment.

"We enjoy excellent media relations, with full and direct access to the local press which will enable us to maximize publicity for both players and sponsors. We have already started working in the region and will be offering our clients a complete agency service. I anticipate that very soon we will be the 'big news' from the world of poker in this area".

Per Hagen, CEO from Poker Icons was similarly upbeat: "Poker Icons can offer great opportunities to both South American players and sponsorship partners alike, and we look forward to working in this exciting region. Argentina will be the 15th country in which Poker Icons has local representation".
